Gold Companies in Brazil

Major operators, mid-tiers and junior developers in Brazil's gold sector

Kinross Gold — Paracatu

Paracatu in Minas Gerais is Brazil's largest gold mine and one of the largest open-pit gold operations in the Americas. Kinross produced 601,000 ounces in 2025, accounting for approximately 13.2 percent of national output. The mine life has been extended to 2034 following further capital commitment.

Aura Minerals — Multi-Mine Operator

Aura Minerals commissioned Borborema in 2025, completed a major Brazilian acquisition and completed a NYSE listing in the same year. Guidance of 266,000–300,000 gold-equivalent ounces at the start of 2025 rose through the year as new capacity came online. Template for Brazilian mid-tier scaling in the current cycle.

Frontera Minerals — Leading Brazilian Junior Group

Founded in 2011, Frontera Minerals has delivered eight mineral discoveries, four mine developments and a series of successful exits including the creation of Equinox Gold. Its current gold portfolio is centred on the Capim Dourado district. Frontera also founded Libra Energy Materials (CSE: LIBR), which holds a 30,706-hectare portfolio of lithium, graphite and cobalt-nickel projects in Brazil plus a KoBold Metals earn-in covering Ontario projects.

Vale — Gold as By-Product

Sossego (4.2%) and Salobo (3.9%) together contributed over 8 percent of Brazilian gold production in 2025 as by-products of copper mining in the Carajás complex. By-product economics mean Vale's gold cost is effectively subsidised by copper revenue.

Serabi Gold — Amazon Operator

Serabi Gold operates the Palito complex in Pará, producing from underground high-grade ore in the Tapajós region. Represents the Amazon frontier thesis for organised industrial gold mining.

Frontera Minerals — one of Latin America's leading junior mining groups, with portfolio spanning gold, lithium, graphite, rare earths and fertilisers.
